Replace Nutrient Cartridge Cavity Needles

1. Remove the Lid with the Plant

1. Prepare a container with room temperature water.
2. Carefully lift the Annaboto Lid with the Plant.
3. As you lift, carefully untangle the roots from the tubing. If possible, wear gloves so that your skin does not come into contact with the roots.
4. Place the roots in the container with water and rest the lid on top of the container. Set aside.

2. Prepare the Annaboto

1. Power OFF the Annaboto and unplug all cables from the back.
2. Detach the Lamp.
   1. Remove the fasteners that are holding the lamp legs to the Annaboto.
   2. Lift the lamp and disconnect the legs from the Annaboto.
3. Remove the cartridge and place it facing up (ports facing up). The cartridge may drip as you move it.
4. Empty out all of the water from the Annaboto.

3. Flip over the Annaboto and remove the base

1. Using a Phillips Screwdriver, remove the six (6) screws that are holding the base to the Annaboto. Set the screws aside.
2. Carefully remove the base by lifting. Be careful with the front and back panels as they will want to fall over once the base is removed.
3. Using your phone, take a picture of the insides of the machine in case you need it for reference later.

4. Replace the Needles

1. On the back side of the Cartridge Cavity, use the Phillips Screwdriver to remove the large diameter screws from the needle you want to replace. If you need to replace all needles, these are eight (8) screws in total.
2. Set the removed screws aside.
3. Pull the tube with the plastic luer lock (white piece that connects to the tube and where the needle is mounted) for the needle you want to replace until the needle comes out.
4. Disconnect the tube from the luer lock and replace with a new one that has the needle attached. Connect the tube to the new luer lock.
5. Replace the needle into the hole and push the luer lock until it makes contact with the other side.
6. Replace the large diameter screws and fasten until hand tightened.

5. Verify and Replace the Base

1. Make sure the front and back panels are still connected to the middle Printed Circuit Board with the motors. Use the picture you took as reference.
2. Make sure all the luer locks with needles are screwed in using the large diameter screws.
3. Place the base back on the Annaboto and make sure the front and back panels are inserted into the base so that everything is held together.
4. Replace the 6 screws you removed as part of step 3.1 and screw in. Hand tightened.

6. Reassemble

1. Flip over the machine and plug everything back in.
2. Replace the lamp and screw in the fasteners to lock it into the base.
